Dorm Room Storage

Let us pack up and store everything your college student left at school

Most college students left school in a rush this year — many thinking they would be back on campus soon. In other words, your kid is not the only one who left all kinds of personal belongings in their dorm room. At District Moving, our professional movers are here to help. For years, we’ve had on-call moving services contracts with many local colleges and universities. This year, like every other, we’re prepared to pack and store all the items left behind. A professional packing team will come in and complete a detailed inventory of each student’s belongings. A video conference can be completed with each student to ensure the proper items are packed and catalogued. A paper inventory will also be created and stored digitally and available upon request. Items will be packed in a heavy-duty tri-wall shipping carton rated for up to 200 lbs. Each carton will be sealed with a tamper resistant security seal. All items we pack are fully insured.

Protecting valuables is critical for every move we make. Packing and storing your college student’s belongings is no exception. That’s why every member of our crew is a full time employee, routinely background screened and drug tested. These are the professionals who will inventory, pack, and relocate belongings. District Moving never uses subcontractors.

Sealed and secured cartons can be stored in our modern 120,000 sq. ft warehouse. Located in Waldorf, Maryland, and owned and operated by District Moving, this state-of-the-art facility is surrounded by a razor wire fence and monitored with internet-based video surveillance 24/7. We check all vehicles and persons entering and exiting the facility, and carefully monitor activity within the facility.
